Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you
will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” Matthew 19:21

Every person is driven to attain the best in life. From early childhood through schools our parents push us to the limit to score the perfect mark, a hundred percent. Our employers through performance management also seek the best from us. Errors are not allowed as our definition of perfect is without fault; completeness; not defective; whole; The pursuance of this definition causes stress and limits our ability to maximize our potentials. However pursuing perfection as, Practicing Eternal Revelations and Faithfully Executing Christ’s Truths, enables destinies to be transformed into what it ought to be from glory to glory without undue stresses. Abraham was not perfect. At a point, the Lord asked him to walk before Him and be perfect for the manifestation of a promise.

God boasted of Job as being perfect even though his children were not. Jesus informs the rich young man, who is described as perfect, go sell all you have and come follow me if you want to be perfect. What a challenging definition of perfection? One that does not talk about faults in life but one that measures your walk in revelation and faithfulness in executing Christ truths. The outcome of such a relationship brings perfect results.

The psalmist declares, The Lord will perfect that which concerns you Psalms 138:8a (KJV): Paul advices, do not conform to this world (world’s definition): but be transformed by renewing your mind (the revelations) so that ye may prove …the perfect, will of God, Romans 12:2 (KJV). Concerning his achievements, he said, Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. How did he to achieve this? By reaching forward to those things which are ahead and pressing toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:12-14 (KJV paraphrase) Therefore it is through Christ that we attain perfection. As you ask for the grace to be perfect, be assured that God who called you to his eternal glory in Christ will perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.(1 Peter 5:10 NKJV). You will attain heights that have never been reached before. Finally strive to be perfect, as your Father which is in heaven is perfect Matt 5:48 (KJV). Amen
